London-based tech company Nothing has officially announced that its latest innovation, the Nothing Phone (3a) Series, is now being manufactured in India and is going to be introduced on March 4th. This strategic move aligns with the “Make in India” campaign, fostering technological advancement, job creation, and a commitment to local production.
Strengthening Indiaโs Manufacturing and Workforce
The Nothing Phone (3a) Series is produced in a cutting-edge factory in Chennai, employing over 500 individuals, with 95% of the workforce being women. According to Counterpoint Research, the brand recorded a remarkable 577% year-over-year growth in 2024, driven primarily by the Phone (2a) Series and its sub-brand CMF by Nothing. Since its inception in October 2020, Nothing has achieved lifetime sales of $1 billion.
Expanding Retail and After-Sales Support
Nothing is also enhancing its retail presence and customer service infrastructure across India. The brand operates five exclusive service centers in Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai, complemented by 300 multi-brand service centers and five priority desks. Additionally, its retail footprint has expanded significantly, growing from 2,000 outlets in early 2023 to 7,000 stores, solidifying its market presence.
